ALEXSUCKS UNVEIL NEW SINGLE & MUSIC VIDEO “THE HEADACHE” OUT NOW

Our new favorite unpredictable, LA-based wildcards ALEXSUCKS have kickstarted their next era with the reveal of a new single and music video “The Headache” out now.

Listen HERE. Watch the music video HERE.

“The Headache” illustrates the band’s penchant for unprecedented and undeniable alternative rock bangers. Across the song produced by Andrew Wells [Jason Mraz, Ellie Goulding], eighties-style synths flash and flicker over a head-nodding beat punctuated by sunny whistling. A loose riff brushes up against the call of woozy lyrics like, “I can’t even sleep it off. I’m at it again, yeah,” which is answered by a slick guitar lead. The track culminates on the chantable chorus, “And now the headache won’t go.” The accompanying visual mirrors this ebb-and-flow by threading together performance footage from a whirlwind of touring and the group’s various adventures across the country. If you missed their seismic set at Lollapalooza or weren’t in one of the packed houses on the Late Night Drive Home Tour, the clip might be the next best thing!

ALEXSUCKS have quietly emerged as the rock-band-to-watch in 2025. Most recently, “Flowers & Dirt” reeled in over 1.2 million Spotify streams. Watch the music video HERE. Its predecessor “Worm in the Sun” generated 1.5 million Spotify streams. The latter made its debut on Spotify’s “New Music Friday.”

ALEXSUCKS continue to solidify themselves as the new face of modern rock, drawing inspiration from the garage and dance-punk revival with their own addictive flavor and catchy lyrics. Consisting of lead vocalist Alex Alvarez, guitarist John Luther, drummer Jonny Ransom, and bassist Garrett Orseno (aka DJ Topgun), ALEXSUCKS crashed into the LA rock scene in 2023 with their debut album The Gutter. Standout tracks “6 Pack and Cigarettes” and “Can We Forget” both tallied over 2 million streams and pushed the band’s monthly listeners to over 800,000 on Spotify.

They capped off 2024 with the Warm Beers EP. Thus far, it has generated 10 million-plus total streams and counting in addition to receiving critical acclaim. Alternative Press hailed it as a “six-song collection that spans the worlds of alternative rock, dance-punk, and old-school MTV,” going on to profess, “The project’s standout track, and namesake, adopts a quiet-loud dynamic (a technique that defined ’90s alt a la Pixies and Sonic Youth) while building toward an addicting refrain.” Zac Carper of tourmates FIDLAR urged 303 Magazine, “Everybody needs to check out the band that is supporting us. ALEXSUCKS. They have this song called “Warm Beers” that makes me cry.”
