Alchemize is a 5 piece R&B/metal fusion band from Manchester with 3 vocalists. The band have only released a few songs to date and have already landed official Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music, Pandora and TIDAL playlisting, coverage with BBC Radio 1 (including Track Of The Week), Kerrang, Metal Hammer, Dreambound, RTE2XM, Amazing Radio, Idobi Howl, Total Rock Radio and played multiple sold out headline shows as well as sharing stages with Polar, Defects, Paradise Fell and Black Coast. The band will release new single ‘Lodestar’ on the 25th July 2025 and recently announced signing to UK label Year Of The Rat Records (Esoterica, Lastelle, SAVE US, Kite Thief) – With plenty of new music to come the band will quickly establish themselves in the UK metal circuit.
Adam Kenyon – “Lodestar” started as one of those songs that just happened naturally – It wasn’t meticulously planned or overthought. Lyrically, it’s about trying to guide someone who’s heading down a rough path, not in a preachy way, but more like, “Look, I’ve been where you are, and I don’t want you to make the same mistakes I did.” It’s that protective feeling, like being a big brother or father figure, where you can offer advice, but you’ve got to let them make their own choices too. The writing process was super natural. Once we locked into that core theme, everything else followed. It was less about telling a story and more about capturing a feeling and the push and pull between wanting to help someone, but also respecting their journey. Sonically, we wanted it to reflect that emotion. There’s weight to it, but it’s also got that steady, guiding energy, like a lodestar, something constant and grounding even when things are messy.
