COLUMBUS – DECEMBER 9, 2024 – Actor Zachary Levi and his nonprofit, Nerd HQ, hosted Breakfast with Zac & Friends, an exclusive breakfast for GalaxyCon attendees on Sunday morning to raise funds for Nerd HQ’s mission. The $4,000 raised from breakfast ticket sales will go toward providing free therapy, 24-hour emotional support, self-care resources, and other online resources to those who cannot afford it.
Fans were treated to handheld bites and assorted drinks over casual conversations with Levi, Cooper Andrews and Peter Facinelli, before the start of the GalaxyCon event. This once-in-a-lifetime experience included guests getting an item signed by the celebrities and photo opportunities.
“The fans who came to breakfast are some of the most kindhearted people I’ve met,” said Levi. “It was an honor to hang out with them, start the day with a great meal, all while contributing to Nerd HQ’s mission of providing free therapy to those who cannot afford it.”
Levi’s lead role in “Shazam!” and other films have solidified his status as a fan-favorite celebrity, making him a highly anticipated guest at comic events. GalaxyCon, one of the premier pop culture conventions, offers an exciting array of celebrity meet-and-greets and immersive fan experiences showcasing the best in comics, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more.
Nerd HQ recently partnered with TimelyCare, a virtual health and wellbeing provider, to provide free mental health therapy and access to mental health resources for one year for 400 people. Individuals will be able to register to gain TimelyCare access through nerdhq.org on a first-come, first-served basis.
Every $25 donated provides one person access to mental health resources for a year. Fans can donate to Nerd HQ and help someone in need at nerdhq.org/donate/.
