49 Keys is a narrative-focused game inspired by real magic books from the 16th century. The protagonist is a friar from the Dominican Order. One day, he receives a letter from his deceased master naming him heir to his mysterious legacy. Your journey will transport you to an unsettling palace filled with mysteries and macabre demons.
Drawing inspiration from point-and-click adventures, 49 Keys blends elements such as intricate puzzle solving, interaction with objects, and creating alchemical mixtures or summoning spirits based on the influence of the planets. Players will need not only to wield their intellect but also to test their mettle and remain calm in the game’s oppressive atmosphere. As the end of the story unveils, they’ll be presented with crucial choices that will change the story’s outcome.

Our Thoughts
Pro:
- Point and click
- The point and click aspect was fantastic as it makes the game easier to follow and accessible to a variety of players.
- Occult
- The mix of secular and occult is amazing! The fact that it is inspired and mentions real books on the occult makes the historian in me giddy with joy.
Con:
- Glitched and Caused Errors
- The game caused numerous glitches that crashed my computer to the point I had to reinstall my OS. I hope there would be updated patches to help with this situation as the game is very fun.
